** The city rocked seeing the grandiose meet of this political party..More than a lakh gathered.
** Wow...What a pompous wedding..More than 5000 guests
** We accommodate upto 60 students in our class..
** 30,000 people working in this IT complex.

We might be the last generation to have witnessed such events..Yes, the post Corona world will be a very different one from the one before..Social gatherings,Greetings by physical contacts, packed classrooms,Jammed travel are going to be things of the past.

In this global lockdown period, airlines sector was most affected. Keeping their white elephants grounded was the most expensive. To minimise the losses, the sector is considering flying with minimal passengers in order to follow social distancing. Leaving a seat in the middle would allow room for their customers is one of their ideas.
Railways is mulling to restart passenger trips at a few points from May 12 . Train travel is sure to be a new experience with 50 percent capacity alone filled up in every coach.

Most leading schools which are known to conduct jam packed classes have started doing online classes for their school students. Dance,Drawing and music classes which are a money spinner as well as summer camps are now running online.IT companies are mulling the idea of work from home for their employees. TCS has openly announced that they will be operating WFH for 75% of their employees by 2025.This will also help them cut down costs of running huge facilities for their offshore centres. Banking and Financial sector are one of the fore runners of automation for most of their processes. Banks like Kotak,ICICI are even training their customers to use App based processes and internet banking instead of coming directly to bank.

Finally, Gods are also not left out in this race. While online darshan ticket booking has been around for long,Darshan going online is the new in thing for devotees. Madurai Meenakshi Amman's celestial wedding which attracts around 10 Lakh of devotees every year saw a low key wedding with only the priests around. Devotees had the wedding darshan by web cast this year. KAllazghar festival also was done with only necessary pooja conducted.

At last, the big fat Indian wedding had to go in many parts of the country.Weddings were conducted on terraces, a small shed, before the the temple with only 7-20 invitees just like the old days, reminisced many. India is a Hindu spiritual country where there is a special pooja for every woe. This Lock down period also saw raise in online pooja and priest bookings. Online purohit and pooja sites were seen doing havan or pooja for their customer through Skype and Zoom app.

Corona has given a lesson to us that minimalism is the need of the hour.
